It was a pleasure to work with the seventh grade girls of Convent Elementary School here in San Francisco to put together this web site honoring St. Madeleine Sophie.

Our goal was to create and produce a web site that would teach students around the world more about the amazing woman who founded our schools. We hoped that by researching Madeleine Sophie's life and times we could come to know her better and feel her inspiration as we carry on with our own lives.

The students worked hard to accurately research many aspects of Madeleine Sophie's life and I have been moved and changed by my knowledge of her courage, her stamina, her intelligence and her faithfulness. 

During this project, the religion teacher and my family were separately able to travel to the places Madeleine Sophie lived and photograph and videotape those places for the web site.

We hope that Sacred Heart students around the world will enjoy a closer relationship to Madeleine Sophie after visiting our site. The more you learn about her, the more inspiring she can be for you. She truly lived her life as a Saint.

I always enjoy working with my daughter and her classmates at school but I was particularly blessed to work with their devoted and accomplished religion teacher as a parent volunteer.
