Joigny is a small town southeast of Paris, in the Burgundy Region of France. A main industry is wine production. Joigny may be small but it is pretty famous! In fact, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, the founder of the Sacred Heart network of schools was born there. She grew up in Joigny and was schooled by her brother throughout her childhood. The main language in Joigny is French. Joigny is a very pretty place to visit. It is warm during the summer and spring months, brisk in autumn, and cold and snowy during the winter months.
