Stuart Hall for Boys Kindergarten

Kindergarten projects are planned by the classroom teacher and the computer teacher to integrate the work in the lab with the activities in the classroom. These activities reinforce the reading readiness, math patterning and counting skills, and problem solving strategies inherent in the kindergarten program.

The boys start the year experimenting and drawing in KidPix. After they feel comfortable with the various tools, they draw a self-portrait.

The boys are also introduced to Kidspiration, another drawing and visual outlining program. In this project, they drew themselves in their Halloween costume.
For Thanksgiving, the Kindergarteners placed one hand on the screen and drew around it using the mouse to create a turkey. They drew feathers on the turkey and dictated a sentence about what they are thankful for.
In KidPix, the Kindergarten boys found stamps of objects that start with the letters "C" and "D".

For this project, the boys had to stamp the correct number of pictures.
