Eighth Grade

 

 

Students in eighth grade create multimedia projects in conjunction with classroom activities and assignments. Basic graphics and text are included as students are exposed to numerous software programs that help to create and reinforce problem solving skills in a variety of curricular areas.

  Washington DC Here We Come Project Directions

Spanish class paired students to create an iMovie presentation on a spanish speaking country. The girls were asked to record their narration in Spanish.

Language Arts students use Microsoft Word to submit much of their writing. Various techniques are learned, such as spacing, color, layout and font size.

Each student was assigned a particular aspect of the civil war to research and present as an iMovie. Click Photograph to view student video.

The PE class studied health and used research and computer skills. They created an iMovie using original Garage Band for the music. Their movie was to be a community service health announcement. Workciting was handed in as well.

Photography

The science students had an assignment to research different careers that needed a science background. They were required to cite their work.
In the computer class, the girls learned the programs Comic Life and Photo Booth to create their booklet.
