Students in fourth grade continue to develop their
word processing skills and begin to formally learn keyboarding
skills. They write out stories, interviews, and short reports
in conjunction with classroom activities and assignments. Students
also develop multimedia presentations and learn some basic aspects
of desktop design and publishing. Students are exposed to numerous
software programs that help create and reinforce problem solving
skills in a variety of curricular areas. By the fourth grade students
use electronic resources to assist in gathering information. They
learn how to appropriately use the Internet and critically evaluate
its content.
