SPRING 2006:
A Fool's Paradise is only a few weeks away! All committees have been working
hard to make this a most festive event!
Basket Workshops: We need your help!! Please join us at 1911 Pine Street to
help create these popular showcase baskets. No experience necessary! Help needed
in many areas, so all talents are welcome.
Thursday, March 9, 9am - 2pm
Wednesday, March 15, 9am - 2pm
Saturday, March 18, 9am - 2pm
Magic
Mike's Fun House is sure to be a highlight at this year's Family
Fest. Two seatings available: 11am or 1pm.
Cake Walk Call! Please help out with one of the favorite Family
Fest games. The Cake Walk needs families to donate baked goods for the ulitmate
in sweet prizes. Whole cakes, pies, breads, cookies and cupcakes are welcome!
We will collect your individually wrapped creations, homemade or store-bought,
at drop-off on Friday, March 31st from 7:30am - 8:15am. Please contact Erinne

Auction NEWS!
We've received hundreds of fabulous items for the auction...we'll feature a
few here each week!

Family Photo
Opportunity: Don't miss out on your own photo shoot! Send in your
order form to reserve a personal sitting with renowned photographer Martha Bruce.
What a great Mother's Day gift this would make plus Martha is donating 80% of
the proceeds to SSH!!! Sittings are 20 minutes each and will be held on April
6 and 7, Parent Teacher Conference Days.
Wine
Donations: We need additional wine to feature in our Wine Auction.
We also need cases of white wine and champagne for the breakfast/luncheon and
the gala. We need an additional 15 cases of white wine and 5 cases of champagne.
If you have a contact with a winery or company that might donate or if you have
some extra in your cellar, please let us know by calling the CS office: 345-5825.

Volunteers: Many hands, light work...want to help the week
of and days of Celebrate Spring? We need volunteers starting on Wednesday, March
29 to help staff, set up and break down for each of our three fabulous events.

The National Coalition of Girls' Schools is presenting a seminar on financial literacy for girls (grades 6-12) and their parents on Sunday, March 26 at the Flood Mansion. This free, interactive seminar will show girls, parents and teachers how to make money skills a part of everyday life. Seminar leader Joline Godfrey has written several books (Raising Financially Fit Kids) and speaks to groups around the country.
