We wish you all a very Happy St. Valentine's Day tomorrow! As the pages on the calendar turn, and the weather stays so unseasonably nice and warm, we are reminded that it will soon be time to Celebrate Spring!

Convent & Stuart Hall's signature event is a mere 22 days away. Please read below for details on how you can lend a hand in these last few weeks before Celebrate Spring!
Light Blue Arrow Simple Gifts Fashion Show - Tomorrow Evening, Thursday, February 14
SG-giftConvent of the Sacred Heart High School cordially invites you to the Simple Gifts Fashion Show. The event will be held tomorrow evening in the Main Hall of the Flood Mansion. A cocktail reception begins the evening at 6:30 p.m., and the runway show commences at 7:00 p.m.

Beautiful fashions by various designers will be featured, including St. John, Cole Haan, and Convent's own Rachael Hurd.

Simple Gifts is a student-run community service program dedicated to making a meaningful difference in programs for women and children in San Francisco. The mission of the Simple Gifts program is to raise funds and awareness.

Light Blue Arrow Basketball Playoffs
basketballOur Convent & Stuart Hall High School basketball teams are bound for BCL West glory! Please come out to historic Kezar Pavilion tomorrow evening, to see both our squads in semi final action. 

The Convent Cubs tip off at 6:30 p.m., and the Stuart Hall Knights will play at 8:00 p.m.  If they win, both high school teams will go on to play in the finals Saturday night.  Come on out to support our Convent & Stuart Hall squads!  Go, Cubs! Go, Knights!
 
Light Blue Arrow Celebrate Spring - BASKET WRAPPING THIS SATURDAY!
Celebrate Spring 2008Preparations for Celebrate Spring 2008 are in full swing - and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Our Basket Wrapping volunteer opportunity is just one example of the fun ways to become involved in Celebrate Spring. Basket Wrapping is this Saturday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will also be a Basket Wrapping session next Saturday and Sunday, February 23 and 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Basket wrapping will take place in the Flood Mansion outside the Little Theater. You may RSVP for all Basket Wrap activities to Monica Bickle at monica@horsleybridge.com.

Basket Donations:  We still need many donations of baskets!  Please help by dropping off your donations at the Front Desk or 1911 Pine Street.

Light Blue Arrow Miller's Mile T-Shirt Design Contest - Deadline This Friday, February 15
MM T-shirt contestIt is time for students to enter the T-Shirt Design Contest!

The contest is open to all Convent & Stuart Hall students. Original art and computer drawings are welcome. Artists may use markers, poster paints, and paper cutouts in their designs. The deadline for the contest is this Friday, February 15. Students may turn in their entries to their school's office.

Light Blue Arrow Director's Club Dinner a Smashing Success!
A hearty thank you to our wonderful leadership level donorsDirector's Club 08 for making the Director's Club Dinner such a great success last Thursday evening. More than 300 people enjoyed a lovely night at the Flood Mansion hosted by Pamela Hayes, Director of Schools, and our Board of Trustees.

Light Blue Arrow A Presentation on Islam - Thursday, February 28
Stuart Hall High School Campus Ministry, in conjunction with the Parents' Association, the Islamic Society of San Francisco, and 20,000 Dialogues (an interfaith project of Unity Productions Foundation), will host a showing of "Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet" on Thursday, February 28, at 6:00 p.m. in Syufy Theatre.

The film will run two hours, followed by a discussion. We welcome parents, students, and friends. Convent & Stuart Hall High School students will be available for childcare. Light Middle Eastern snacks will be served.

Light Blue Arrow Calling All Speedracers! Pinewood Derby Coming to Convent & Stuart Hall!
DerbycarsPlease save the date of Saturday, April 5 for an event that will be fun for the whole family! The Convent & Stuart Hall community is cordially invited to a Pinewood Derby Race, to be held in the courtyard at our Stuart Hall High School campus. 

An entry fee of $25 includes a racing berth and a speedracer car kit. Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School and Stuart Hall for Boys students will get a sneak peek at one of the cars during morning assembly!

All Convent & Stuart Hall students are invited to participate in the Derby, and all Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Race Rules apply to the competition. Students must turn in their completed forms to their school's office by Friday, February 29. Cars will be delivered to classrooms on Monday, March 4 - a perfect craft project to enjoy over Easter break!

All proceeds from the event benefit a service trip several of our students will be taking to Uganda this summer.

All Convent & Stuart Hall parents are welcome to attend our Parents' Association Board Meetings. The meetings are held once a month in the Flood Mansion Reception Room on the Broadway Campus, at 8:30 a.m.
