And now it is on to the New Year! 2008 has a great deal in store for us - there are many wonderful events coming up at Convent & Stuart Hall this semester. Now is a perfect time to come together and celebrate our community!

Bingo Night - THIS FRIDAY, January 11, to Benefit Service Trip to Uganda |
 Join us for a fun and festive evening - all for a great cause! Stuart Hall High School will host a Bingo Night for our four-school adult community THIS FRIDAY, January 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. Proceeds will benefit a service trip several of our boys will take to our sister school in Uganda in June. Our Stuart Hall High School students have been hard at work to raise funds for this trip and for the materials needed to finish construction projects in Uganda. Some of their efforts have included bake sales, a letter writing campaign, and other events on campus. But they still need your support to make it to their goal! There will be a very special guest in attendance at Bingo Night: Hilda Bamwine, RSCJ, will be with us on Friday! Sr. Hilda was the Provincial of the Uganda/Kenya Province when the Sacred Heart Primary School was founded in Uganda. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, and prizes. Come one and all, and bring your friends, neighbors, and relatives to support this worthy cause! Tickets: $30 per person, or $50 for two. Payment will be taken at the door. After the fast pace of the holiday season, what better way to begin 2008 than with a time of silence, solitude, and reflection?
Please join us for a Parents' Retreat, to be held in the Chapel on Broadway next Tuesday, January 15, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Lisa Buscher, RSCJ, and parents Nancy Bolmeier Fisher and Joy Libby have carved out this time for you to refresh and restore yourselves.

Heart to Heart Social -
Wednesday, January 23 |
 Save the date for an evening of community building and camaraderie!
Please be our guest at this year's Heart to Heart Social, on Wednesday, January 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flood Mansion. The reception will include a wine bar and a light dinner prepared by Il Fornaio and served by our Convent & Stuart Hall High School students.
The evening will also feature a special presentation by several speakers, including some of our schools' students and community leaders, as well as the premiere of Reasons of the Heart, an original documentary about Heart to Heart, Convent & Stuart Hall's community outreach program.
All donations from the evening will benefit Heart to Heart Programs.

 Don't miss the first Speaker Series event of the New Year! This month's timely topic: "Raising Fiscally Responsible Children."
Please join us in welcoming Talia Pierliussi to Convent & Stuart Hall on Tuesday, January 29, at 7 p.m., in the Syufy Theatre. Talia is a wealth advisor with Stanford Management Group and a mother of two. She is an expert speaker on this subject, and has given talks at many Bay Area schools.

We welcome your donations to our Live and Silent Auctions. Our Auctions are lively and exciting parts of the Celebrate Spring tradition. Past offerings have included wonderful trips to points around the world, jaunts to wineries, and golf weekend getaways. You may easily link to donor forms here:
