A Busy Person’s Retreat is a “retreat in daily life.” The on-campus, guided –prayer retreat made within the daily activities of the lives of faculty and staff here in the four school community of Schools of the Sacred Heart. Retreatants commit themselves to one hour a day of prayer, which includes personal prayer and meeting with their spiritual companion.

This retreat is a response to the ongoing need as Sacred Heart Educators for prayer and reflection during times when it is not feasible to get away from work and life’s other commitments. Rooted in Madeleine Sophie Barat’s ideal of living “wholly contemplative and wholly apostolic lives,” participants will benefit from incorporating time for themselves and God during their daily school schedules. In addition, there will be time for communal gatherings and reflection, as well as time to meet with a spiritual companion for support, encouragement and practical guidance in the ways of prayer and spirituality.

This is a great way to renew and refresh your spirit during the season of Lent as you continue to find ways to incorporate spirituality into daily life. The retreat will run from Monday to Friday beginning after school, Monday, March 12 and concluding after school Friday, March 16.
