Join Us for the Second Annual Walk for Uganda
Saturday, March 31
Last year, it was a phenomenal success... and
this year, we need to work even harder to
support our HEART (Helping Education in
Africa, Reaching Together) Chapter. Please
join us for the second annual Walk for
Uganda, on Saturday, March 31, at 10:00am.
Help us reach our goal of 200 participants,
walking together to raise money for our
sister school administered by the RSCJ in
Africa.
The walk/run will begin in the West
Bluff Picnic Area of Crissy Field, and will
reach across the Golden Gate Bridge, and
back. Past donations have helped support the
Uganda campus, which now boasts 385 girls
learning and thriving. But there is much
work yet to be done, such as the building of
a dormitory, and providing HEART graduates
with high school scholarships.
You can
register for the walk ONLINE.
If you cannot participate in the walk, we
encourage you to support HEART in other ways:
by volunteering at the event, purchasing a
t-shirt, making a donation, or providing a
matching grant. Contact Clare Parker with
questions about the event, at 415-292-3129,
parker@sacredsf.org.

Salvage Day at Stuart Hall for Boys
Saturday, March 17
Out with the old, and in with the new at
Stuart Hall...
Rather than allowing a salvage company to
make off with all of the architectural
features, furniture and appliances in the
Hammond House, we are making them available
to you to bid on.
Bring your tools
and truck
on Saturday, March 17 from 9:00am to
3:00pm, to haul away items such as: wall
sconces, cabinetry, doors, desks, and
chairs.
Contact Terry Betterly with any questions at
betterly@sacredsf.org.
