The countdown is on – Celebrate Spring Weekend is Just Days Away

invite
  • The Celebrate Spring Online Auction begins Friday, March 16, at 3:00pm. There are hundreds of fantastic items available. The Auction Catalog will be mailed home this week for you to preview. The Auction will close on Sunday, March 25, at noon.

  • The noon seating of the Garden Luncheon on Friday, March 23, has already sold out. There are a few places available at the 11:00am and 1:30pm seatings, but they are filling up quickly – so please make your reservations today. You won’t want to miss perusing the annual Boutique, and catching up with friends old and new. The Luncheon will also feature the paintings of art teachers Will Jaggers and Gilly De Young for your purchase.

  • The Evening Gala, Club 2222, will be held on Saturday, March 24, at 6:00pm. Trader Vic’s is coming to Broadway! Don’t miss their world famous Mai Tai Canoe and buffet, and enjoy goodies prepared by 14 of San Francisco’s finest caterers. Among the incredible offerings included in the Live Auction: a getaway to Pinehurst, the home of American Golf; a Fender Stratocaster guitar signed by the members of Green Day; a place in Ronnie Lott’s Celebrity Golf Tournament, and a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Galapagos Islands. And past parent Richard Harroch, the author of “Poker for Dummies,” will host the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, beginning at 6:30pm. It’s your chance to buy in, and play to win.

  • Celebrate Spring wants you! We are in need of wine donations, 12 cases of red, 12 cases of white, and five cases of champagne for weekend events. Please call 415-345-5822 to make arrangements; you can drop your donation off at 1911 Pine Street, or we can pick it up. Also, there remain many volunteer opportunities for event set-up and breakdown, on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. You can sign up for a shift, and find donation forms, online at www.celebratespring.org. We cannot do this without you, so please do give a helping hand to Celebrate Spring!

  • Saturday Easter Basket wrapping has been cancelled. Sunday Easter Basket wrapping, will be held from 10:00am to 4:00pm, in the Flood Mansion’s Little Theater. Again, if you are available to help out, please sign up at www.celebratespring.org today.

Join Us for the Second Annual Walk for Uganda
 Saturday, March 31

Uganda Walk Last year, it was a phenomenal success... and this year, we need to work even harder to support our HEART (Helping Education in Africa, Reaching Together) Chapter. Please join us for the second annual Walk for Uganda, on Saturday, March 31, at 10:00am. Help us reach our goal of 200 participants, walking together to raise money for our sister school administered by the RSCJ in Africa.

The walk/run will begin in the West Bluff Picnic Area of Crissy Field, and will reach across the Golden Gate Bridge, and back. Past donations have helped support the Uganda campus, which now boasts 385 girls learning and thriving. But there is much work yet to be done, such as the building of a dormitory, and providing HEART graduates with high school scholarships.

You can register for the walk ONLINE. If you cannot participate in the walk, we encourage you to support HEART in other ways: by volunteering at the event, purchasing a t-shirt, making a donation, or providing a matching grant. Contact Clare Parker with questions about the event, at 415-292-3129, parker@sacredsf.org.

Salvage Day at Stuart Hall for Boys
 Saturday, March 17

tools Out with the old, and in with the new at Stuart Hall... Rather than allowing a salvage company to make off with all of the architectural features, furniture and appliances in the Hammond House, we are making them available to you to bid on.

Bring your tools and truck on Saturday, March 17 from 9:00am to 3:00pm, to haul away items such as: wall sconces, cabinetry, doors, desks, and chairs.

Contact Terry Betterly with any questions at betterly@sacredsf.org.
