We are just two weeks into the Spring semester at Convent & Stuart Hall - but already we have a whole host of events to look forward to!

And tonight, you will not want to miss the Heart to Heart Social. There are more details below on this and other wonderful happenings on campus in the coming weeks and months - we hope to see you soon!

Blue Arrow Heart to Heart Social - TONIGHT, Wednesday, January 23
Heart to HeartPlease be our guest at this evening's Heart to Heart Social. The festivities will be held tonight, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Flood Mansion. The reception will include a wine bar and a light dinner prepared by Il Fornaio and served by our Convent & Stuart Hall High School students.

The program for the evening includes special presentations by several speakers, including some of our students and community leaders. Also featured will be the premiere of Reasons of the Heart, an original documentary about Heart to Heart, Convent & Stuart Hall's community outreach program.

All donations from the event will benefit Heart to Heart programs.

Please help us make a difference - one community, one heart, one child at a time.

We need your support!
Celebrate Spring 2008Volunteers Needed Tomorrow and Friday:  Volunteers have been hard at work this week preparing our event invitations for mailing, and we still need extra hands! Please join us in the Conference Room at 1911 Pine Street tomorrow, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing all day Friday.

Basket Donations: Fun and creative Easter Baskets are a fantastic part of the Celebrate Spring weekend. This year, we have already received some wonderful basket donations - and we are counting on your help for more! Baskets may be dropped off at 1911 Pine Street.

If you are interested in making a donation to our Live and Silent Auctions, or if you wish to place an advertisement for your company or business or a "Family Ad" in the Celebrate Spring program, please link to those forms on our website, www.celebratespring.org.

Blue Arrow Convent & Stuart Hall Speaker Series -
Tuesday, January 29
Piggy-bankPlease join us next week for the first Speaker Series event of the year! We will welcome Talia Pierliussi to campus next Tuesday, January 29, at 7:00 p.m. in the Syufy Theatre. The topic of Talia's talk: "Raising Fiscally Responsible Children."

A recent study found that young people are reaching adulthood without the basic knowledge to make good decisions about their finances. Talia, a wealth advisor with Stanford Investment Group, Inc., as well as a mother of two, will provide age-specific suggestions for parents of children ranging in age from 5 to 18. Her presentation provides hands-on ideas that empower parents to guide their children in acquiring these essential life skills.

Blue Arrow Stuart Hall High School Presents Mary Hile-Nepfel - Wednesday, January 30
Mary Hile-NepfelAttention all Convent & Stuart Hall High School student-athletes: USF Hall of Fame member Mary Hile-Nepfel is coming to campus. Mary will speak to students and parents on Wednesday, January 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Stuart Hall High School. Admission is $10 at the door, and includes a catered dessert.

Mary will share with us her extensive experience as both a player and a coach at the college level. She will lead an in-depth discussion of the recruitment process, and address the pros, cons, and responsibilities of participating in university athletics.

Blue Arrow Director's Club Dinner
Thursday, February 7
Director's ClubOn Thursday, February 7, the Director of Schools and the Board of Trustees will host a dinner honoring donors at the Director's Club level. The Director's Club was established to recognize those contributors who gave a personal, unrestricted gift of $3,000 or more to the Annual Fund.

The February 7 event will pay tribute to those wonderful friends of the schools who have supported the community so generously. If you have made a leadership level gift to the Annual Fund but have not yet received an invitation to the Director's Club Dinner, please contact Karen Lenardi, Annual Fund Coordinator, at 415-345-5803 or at lenardi@sacredsf.org.
Blue Arrow Simple Gifts Fashion Show -
Thursday, February 14
SG-giftConvent of the Sacred Heart High School cordially invites you to the Simple Gifts Fashion Show, on Thursday, February 14, in the Main Hall of the Flood Mansion. A cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and the fashion show commences at 7:00 p.m.

Fashions by Levi's, PlumpJack Sport, St. John, Cole Haan, and Convent senior Rachael Hurd will be featured, among others.

Simple Gifts, a student run community service program, is dedicated to raising awareness and funds and to making a meaningful difference in programs for women and children in San Francisco.

Blue Arrow Save the Date for a Presentation on Islam
Thursday, February 28
Please save the date of Thursday, February 28, for a special presentation on Islam. Parents and students are invited to attend. There will be a showing of a film about the life of the Prophet Mohammad, followed by a discussion led by one of the co-founders of the Islamic Society of San Francisco and by a member of the UMA Interfaith Alliance.

More information about this event will follow in the coming weeks. We hope to see you on February 29!
