'Tis the season for giving and sharing, and there are many opportunities to help those less fortunate than we are. You may drop off a coat in the elementary school lobby to help keep our homeless neighbors warm during the cold winter months. There are also barrels to contribute cans to our school food drives. Below are some other ways to help out and keep in the spirit of the holidays!
Blue Arrow Simple Gifts, November 14 and 15 - Cashmere, Cashmere, Cashmere!
Get a jump on your holiday shopping this week whileCashmere supporting Convent High School's Simple Gifts program. There will be cashmere sweaters and accessories in beautiful colors available today, Wednesday, November 14, and Thursday, November 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. The sale will be held in the Main Hall of the Flood Mansion. Proceeds benefit programs for women and children in the Bay Area. Cash and checks only, please.

Holiday Gift Cards - Orders due This Friday, November 16
Gift CardsDon't forget to return your order form for your Holiday Gift Card (Scrip) by this Friday, November 16. Take care of some early holiday shopping and benefit our schools - all without spending an extra dime! Gift cards not only make excellent presents, they can also be used for your own personal shopping. Between 2 and 25% of purchases goes to Convent & Stuart Hall.

Participating stores include: Macy's, J. Crew, Starbucks, Williams-Sonoma, and many, many more!

Holiday Greens Sale - Order Forms Due Monday, November 19

Please also join us for the Holiday Greens Boutique, two wonderful days at the Flood Mansion. There you will find special gifts for everyone in your family, and you'll have a chance to pick up fresh wreaths and garlands and beautiful holiday decorations for your home.

Family and friends are welcome. Please join us for a champagne reception on the evening of Wednesday, December 5, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The boutique on Thursday, December 6 will run from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.

Stuart Hall High School Coffee Sale Benefiting Service Trips
In an effort to raise money for Stuart Hall High School servicecoffee beans trips to Mexico, New Orleans, and Uganda, the school is selling Fair Trade & Organic Coffee that supports the company that they partner with in Mexico, Community Links (www.commlinks.org)

Available is whole bean coffee (Light, Dark, & Decaf) in 12 oz bags selling for $12.50/bag, or whatever more you would like to pay.

Blood Drive - Wednesday, November 28
There will be a blood drive held on Wednesday, November 28, at Stuart Hall High School. All are welcome to participate. The drive will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Columbus Room. Your donation counts as service hours for your Stuart Hall High School son.

Duchesne Mass, An All-school Liturgy of Thanksgiving - Friday, November 16
Mosaic in the Cathedral Basilica of St. LouisAll members of the Convent & Stuart Hall community are welcome to celebrate Mass this Friday, November 16. The liturgy honors St. Philippine Duchesne, who brought the Religious of the Sacred Heart to the United States and founded the Sacred Heart tradition in this country.

Mass will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral, at 1111 Gough Street, at 10:00 a.m. There will be ushers available at both entrances to help you find a seat.
Save the Date - Gingerbread Workshop, Sunday, December 2
Gingerbread houseCome on out and bring your little elves - it is the annual Gingerbread Workshop sponsored by BASH (Broadway Alumnae of the Sacred Heart). Celebrate the season as you and your family build a scrumptious gingerbread house trimmed with candy canes, marshmallows, and gumdrops galore!

There will be two seatings on Sunday, December 2 -10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Holiday cheer, refreshments, and clean up will be provided.

All-school Faculty Art Show on Display Through November 19

Jaime-artwork Please plan to stop by and see some wonderful paintings and sketches created by art faculty members from all four schools. Featured in the show will be pieces by Patter Hellstrom, Henry Neff, Robert Windle, Will Jaggers, Ghilly De Young, and Rachel McIntire. The artists will display their work in the Lobby through Monday, November 19.

Things are flying out of the store just as fast as they arrive - this Saturday, a Vera Wang nightgown sold within a half hour of being put out on the floor!

There are currently many wonderful casual brand-name pieces for ladies, and a number of men's extra large dress shirts.
