Convent & Stuart Hall Present: Children's Advocate Jim Steyer - Tonight! |
Join in the conversation as nationally acclaimed children's advocate Jim Steyer addresses the Convent & Stuart Hall community tonight, Wednesday, October 24, at 5:30 p.m., in the Syufy Theater.
Jim will discuss the impact of media messages on our children and will offer common sense tips on how parents might best navigate this new digital age and the strong influence of TV, iPods, and video games.

Golf & Tennis Classic - A Rousing Success |
Thanks to all of you who came out Fore the Love of the game. We had a great turnout at our annual Golf & Tennis Classic, and the weather held for a wonderful day on the greens and courts.

Save the Date - A Skate Party at Yerba Buena Gardens, November 17 |
Come on out, bring your children, lace up your skates, and take a few twirls on the ice along with other students and parents from all four schools. The Convent & Stuart Hall Skate Party promises to be a wonderful night at the Yerba Buena Gardens skating rink, located at 750 Folsom Street.

The Next Friday Family Night - November 16, 2007 |
November 16 will be our next Family Friday Night. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. we will bring our Convent & Stuart Hall community together with our friends and neighbors from the nearby Western Addition neighborhood.
Come out to enjoy dinner, sports, and other activities. We will be creating ornaments that evening for a Christmas tree in Davies Symphony Hall during the holiday season.

Author, Author! Help us welcome Julia Flynn Siler on November 12 |
Please join us on Monday, November 12 for what promises to be a fascinating evening with Julia Flynn Siler, author of The House of Mondavi: The Rise and Fall of an American Wine Dynasty. Julia will be speaking at 5:30 p.m. in the Reception Room. A book signing will follow her talk.
A former foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and Business Week, Julia Flynn Siler has also written for The New York Times and The San Francisco Chronicle. Writing the book involved more than 500 hours of interviews and extensive research. The author continues to write for the Journal out of their San Francisco office.

Have a Safe and Fun Halloween Night! |
Bring your little ones out to some of the great events around San Francisco on Halloween night. Merchants in the Sacramento Street Shopping District will open their doors to young trick-or-treaters that Wednesday evening. Please also check out www.sfkids.org for other neat ways to spend All Hallow's Eve.
And please plan to join us on the Broadway campus for the lower schools' annual Halloween parade. You'll be able to catch your little angels, devils, cowboys, and superheroes making the rounds. Don't miss out on the fun!
